We are storytellers. We have been telling stories since we could talk--and even before that. Storytellers in many cultures use beads as an aid to remember stories and also to help tell stories.
Beads also serve as a way to count prayers in many faiths--malas, subhas, rosaries, chaplets. "Telling the beads" means to say one's prayers.
Sharing stories and sharing prayers, that is what I hope to do with this blog. Mostly, I guess we'll just have to see what develops over time.
